Partly Dog

I read this quote the other day and it really stayed with me.
In order to really enjoy a dog, one doesn't merely try to train him to be semi human. The point of it is to open oneself to the possibility of becoming partly a dog. ~Edward Hoagland

I find getting on the floor helps.

    I get on the floor and play with Whiskey acting like a dog all the time.

    Sometimes when I get home from work I drop my bags and just belly smack right onto the floor and play with Winnie. It can be the best part of my day.

    I get the best kisses from Gibson when I'm on the floor! I guess he appreciates it when I'm down at his level :)
